BIG Adventures

 

Campers will participate in 1 Big Adventure while at camp, this year we have four options:

Rock Climb & Rappel

• Led by certified climbing instructor Joseph Cottam of Shoreline ward
• Climb & rappel the Basalt Formations of the Cascade Mountains
• All harnesses/helmets/safety equipment provided
• Sturdy shoes/long pants required

RailCycle Mt. Rainier

• Led by RailCycle Mt. Rainier on a historic logging railroad
• Pedal custom designed 4-seat rail bike; 3 miles on the tracks
• Stop at Mt. Rainier lookout

Horseback Trail Ride

• Led by White Pass Outfitter's friendly & licensed guides
• Ride 3+ mile (abt 1.5 hr) on your own horse or mule
• Helmets provided; pants/sturdy shoes required
• Riders must weigh >265 lb & sign White Pass Outfitter's Safety Waiver

Overnight Backpacking hike

• Led by Brian & Rachel Woodard of Crestview ward @ Gifford Pinchot Nat Forest
• 10 Miles Total hiking distance/1,185 elevation change (Moderate)
• Must acquire personal backpacking gear
• Mandatory information mtg & pack check
